Hola. Como Estas?

Text for the newspaper

Saturday, September 12, 2009

Hey guys! Sorry I couldn't come yesterday, I was feeling a bit ill but now it's much better :)

Zoe, do we have to pick an image from your flickr? Is that the homework for the weekend? ;)

Carolina and Zoe suggested I could help with the introductory text for the newspaper, as I don't have any pictures. I don't know if I was still on time, but I sent it to Carolina today... I'll also post it here to know if it's ok for you:

BIEN, EN LAVAPIÉS

Los comisarios del taller de fotografía de Zoe Strauss toman el barrio cámara en mano.

¿Centro de Madrid o South Philadelphia? A miles de kilómetros de las calles que suelen servir de escenario a las acciones de la fotógrafa estadounidense, veinte jóvenes comisarios retratan el popular barrio madrileño que, como si de un suburbio de Philadelphia se tratase, acoge esta vez las potentes imágenes de Strauss que no dejarán indiferente a nadie.

Hugs and good weekend!

Ángel

It is incredibly hard for me to choose an image from your flickr,
but these are to me very very strong.

Have a great weekend you all.

Test copies for the little prints

Rocío, the test copies are perfect... I'll have everything to print on Monday.

Final route of the exhibition

Buenos noches!

Not that you need to know this, but I came back to mi casa pequeño and fell asleep immediately and just woke up to do some work right now, at 1:30AM. I know, it's sick.

Here's the final route of the exhibition.

Oh, it's on Madrid! It's on! Es el, Madrid!

I should be out examining light levels but I'm going to sleep instead.

Here's my flickr page... http://www.flickr.com/photos/27822510@N00/

Not everything is up for contention. For example, almost all of the recent love letters project photos are installation shots for my friends project... but everything goes up for everyone to see.

And hopefully there will be more books on Monday, but if not PLEASE share them! Gracias!

Con Amor,
ZS

POR FAVOR! If anyone could print out a map of the immediate area right around La Casa and bring it today I would be greatly, greatly appreciative... Angela generously offered to help with the map, she has a cad one, but when we're out today it would be great to have a printed one come with.

the test copies are great! and i think we won't need to cut the edges. we'll decide this afternoon...

color copies

with a CD or pendrive it is fine.
also...the prints will have a white line on the borders, i guess you know but just in case, so it is important to have all the pictures with the same size (A3 or A4) so they can cut after printing easyly almost all toghether at the same time.
i am going to print 1 today to test

saludos!

my fotos with delay, sorry!

The red hair elder lady - just met her and believe Rocío did too

Thursday, September 10, 2009

Just met her and believe Rocío did too.....right? (yes, it seems we are all neighbours)
She was walking her dog and, unfortunately, when I explained her everything and asked for her permission to hang the photo she said out loud:
Nooooooooooooo, I don't want my picture out in the street, because my "children" would kill me. No, no.....
:-(

I guess you will need more shots Zoe...

Takuma is out sick today, but here's his image for Carolina to download.

two suggestions:

1_zoe, do you have any idea of how do you want to locate the a3/a4 pictures? maybe (just maybe, this is just brainstorming) it could be ok if the pictures could suggest the exterior itinerary like little "image tips". if that´s a linear thing it would be easier to appeal people or attract attention, so it would be impossible not to see them, since isolated spots are more improbable to get by and the size it´s kind of small.

so the idea could be 5 isolated spots for the really big pictures and a linear itinerary between them marked by the little ones. and when a certain time arrives maybe people can take them home (just the same at in i-95).

2_ i can draw a map in autocad for a flyer or whatever to suggest the itinerary(i have a madrid map autocad file)

COLOR COPIES PRICES

Hello!

the prices for digital color copies:
size A4 500 copies = 0.15€ = 75€ (1 copy 0.50)
size A3 500 copies = 0.35 = 175€ (1 copy 1.20)

If we want half A4 and half A3 I can arrange the same price.

Here it is the address for the people who asked me yesterday:
Puerta del Sol, 4 5ºplanta, next to the "guerrilleros" shoes shop, the name is TUS IDEAS

Feliz Cumpleanos a Aitor!
